I understand that dying with one hit is the hallmark of extreme mode, but without even being able to parry, it becomes exhausting) This challenge requires too much perfection. Not to mention the lack of checkpoints.

The new sonic levels don't fare any better, the entire level design this dlc feels like playing "Only Up" with lots of climb and no checkpoints. That said, the update itself is free so .
